🐣🐾 Egg Hunt Fun at The Ridge! 🐾🐣
Students from Mrs. Marshall’s, Mrs. Baker’s, and Mr. Hollis’ classrooms participated in our annual egg hunt!
A huge thank you to our Teacher Academy and Early Childhood students for donating their time and resources to make this event so special. And thank you to Mrs. McCormick for capturing all the fun moments! 📸
What a great day for our Bulldogs! 💙

Students learned about the various threats terrapins face, including habitat loss. Students learned how erosion effects Island habitats and explored the ways that the Port of Baltimore is solving this problem by examining the history of Poplar Island. Baby diamondback terrapin ambassadors, Gouda, Feta, Parmesan, Mozzarella, and Ricotta visited the classroom to support the TERP program.
North Caroline High School is raising their own terrapin, "Terry", under the direction of Ms. Mielke. Students take measurements of the terrapins and report the data back to the partners. Having hatchlings in classrooms allows students to have a hands-on learning experience and personal connection to the environment around them.

Today we celebrate and recognize our incredible instructional assistants:
Ms. Banks, Ms. Chester, Ms. Frazier, Ms. Hathaway, Ms. Hicks, Ms. Jones, Ms. Mathis, Ms. Miller, Ms. Spry, and Ms. Sullivan.
We are so grateful for all that you do each day to support our students and school community!
We celebrated with a brunch in your honor—thank you to everyone who helped make this special recognition possible.

We wrapped up the week with a fun staff vs. student volleyball game! Our students played hard and brought the energy as amazing cheerleaders.
Thank you to our staff who always step up to create memorable experiences for our students.
Happy Spring Break, Bulldogs! 💙🌸

Like the rest of Maryland, we were excited for Orioles Opening Day! We celebrated with opening day hot dogs for our staff.
The Ridge is a great place to learn and an awesome place to work. We are Bulldogs! 💙🐾

Today, the NCHS SGA officers and advisor Ms. Sullivan had the incredible honor of attending a time capsule opening at the Caroline County Courthouse—originally buried in 1976 by the NCHS and Colonel Richardson SGA in celebration of our nation’s bicentennial.
Exactly 50 years later, that capsule was opened, bringing history full circle. It was especially meaningful to share this moment with members of the Class of ’76 and the principals who led both high schools during that time—true Bulldogs and Colonels who helped preserve this piece of history.
Now, the tradition continues. 🇺🇸 NCHS SGA has been entrusted with creating a new time capsule to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. We are honored to carry this legacy forward and can’t wait to begin planning alongside Colonel Richardson and the Caroline County Board of Education.
Here’s to honoring the past, celebrating the present, and preserving memories for the future. 💙🐾

I would also like to recognize two students who received awards last night for their Altered Ego Masks:
Marissa Inzodda earned First Place for her mask Under Wraps
Oliver Yon received a Special Award for his mask Wandering Forest Guardian
Both students were recognized for their remarkable talent and skill, and this recognition is so well deserved.
Your hard work and creativity make NCHS incredibly proud!
We came to play, and we made our Bulldog presence known.

They explored programs, toured campus, and got a glimpse of college life.
¡Un día excelente para todos! ✨ #LanguageLearning #FutureReady
