Healthy vision and hearing is important for your child’s success in school. State law requires school systems to have students’ hearing and vision screened when they enter the school system and again in first and eighth grades. Hearing and vision screenings are scheduled to begin on/around September 15th, 2025.
Students who should not be included in the screenings include:
Those whose parents/guardians object in writing to the screenings on the grounds that it conflicts with the tenets and practice of a recognized church or religious denomination of which they are a member;
Those with known hearing loss, including but not limited to, students with cochlear implants or hearing aids; and
Those who present evidence of testing within the last year.
If your child falls into any of these categories or if you have any questions, please reach out to the school nurse at 410-479-2333 or via email at brittingham.laura@ccpsstaff.org

Reminder: Tonight is Back to School Night!!!
At 5:30, we will welcome our 7th grade students in through the main doors, and our 8th grade students will enter through the doors by the gym. You will find your name listed in the hallway and head to your homeroom to get your printed schedule.
At 6:30, we will welcome all of our 6th graders in through the main doors and into the cafeteria for your schedules and then to your homerooms.
Each homeroom teacher will also have Bingo cards for everyone to complete in order to earn vouchers for our food trucks.
Please take some time to visit with our community resources that will be set up between CRMS and CRHS.
We are so excited to see everyone!

The Colonels joined together for an Appreciation Luncheon for our custodians this week! They've worked hard all summer long to make sure the buildings are ready for staff and students return. We don't know what we'd do without them!
